CFSD Department Scholarships
- Fashion Group Foundation of San Francisco, Inc.
- Contact dept for application BH 329. FGFSF is pleased to offer its annual cash Scholarship(s) totaling up to $4600 for currently enrolled students in a fashion or interior design program of a two or four year college. Where to submit form: Fashion Group Foundation: P.O. Box 302, San Mateo, CA 94401.

1) a graduate or undergraduate student majoring in Family & Consumer Science/Home Economics or related program;
2) a student obtaining a Family & Consumer Science credential at an accredited college/university;
3) a high school senior entering a FCS/HEC 2 year or 4 year college or university program in the Fall. Must be a member of Bay District: AAFCS – CA (high school applications are not members, but recipient must be a member and registered at time of award. Award: $1000. - Deadline: Early March.

- American Association of Family of Consumer Sciences – CA Affiliate Scholarships
- Contact dept BH 329 for scholarship applications. The graduate fellowships are for members of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences – CA Affiliate, who either have been or will be admitted for graduate study at an accredited college or university. Candidates for all fellowships and the scholarship must be members of AAFCS and the California Affiliate, including the student section. Award: $1000.

- Krohn Trust Dietetic Internship Scholarship
- Contact dept BH 329 for scholarship applications. Support for senior or graduate student who has applied for a dietetic internship, is a member and has participated in the Student Dietetic Association and has financial need. Award: $500.

- Stonestown Scholarship
- Contact dept BH 329 for scholarship applications. Junior or 1st semester Senior Apparel Design & Merchandising major at SFSU. Membership and participation in activities of the Student Fashion Association. Have participated or have plans to participate in some activities (fashion shows, window display, internship) with Stonestown or other retail/manufacture. Award: $250-$500.

- Association of Chinese Cooking Teachers
- AACT is dedicated to furthering the education of members in Asian Food and Culture by providing a forum for the exchange of food preparation ideas.

Counseling Scholarships
- Distinguished Student Award
- This award is based on a record of distinguished scholarship and outstanding service to the community, as determined by faculty feedback, the students' transcripts, and essays written by the nominees.

- Virginia Lee Block Scholarship
- The Department Virginia Block Scholarship Committee selects approximately four individuals in the specializations of Career Counseling, College Counseling, Gerontological Counseling, Marriage, Family and Child Counseling, or School Counseling for this scholarship. The scholarship winners are selected from a pool of students nominated and discussed by the faculty of the Department of Counseling.

- Ida Sweeney LeBlanc Scholarship
- African-American students may apply for this award, which is given on the basis of financial need, scholarship, and professional promise as indicated by letters of recommendation, employment history, faculty feedback, involvement in professional organizations, and a personal statement written by the student.

- 12th Step Award
- Award is given to a student who has had personal experience with or is working in the area of familial abuse, addiction, or dysfunction. The eligibility requirements are: (a) classified or conditionally classified master's candidate in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work (first priority is given to Counseling Department students; open to all specializations); (b) intention to enroll at least half time for the upcoming academic year; and (c) a GPA of 3.0 if a continuing student (entering students must provide evidence of prior academic success).

- California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists Educational Foundation
- 4 Scholarships, students may apply for one appropriate to work or studies for an educational opportunity, for qualification for licensure or research of importance as a marriage, family and child counselor.

- Florence Hale Stephenson Alumnae Scholarship
- Contact department for more info. Female Kinesiology seniors in the PE concentration who intend to enter the Teaching Credential Program. Award is one semester in-state tuition. Amount varies each year, depending upon funds available.

- Harkness Physical Education Major-Athlete Scholarship
- Varsity letter winners; minimum GPA of 3.00; potential as an educator through teaching/couching/leadership in the field. Award is $150.

- Hal and Nonie Harden Scholarship
- Juniors/seniors; minimum GPA of 2.50; athletic achievement; goal of teaching or coaching. Award amount depends on availability of funds.

- Undergraduate Kinesiology Scholarship
- Full time undergraduate Kinesiology major who has completed 12 units of lecture class in the department. Award amount depends on availability of funds.

- Collegiate All-American Scholar Program
- Outstanding social science students are nominated on a yearly basis as outstanding Collegiate All-American Scholars by departments and human and health services administration educators. Award: varies.

- Bodine-Sunkist Memorial Scholarship
- For undergraduate students from agricultural backgrounds who are in need of assistance to further their educations. Award: $2000 per academic year.

Women Scholarships
- American Association of University Women Education Scholarship
- Preference given to mature women whose accomplishments have spanned over 10 years. Must be nominated by someone in your field: all majors. Award: varies.
- Deadline: Mid March.
- Business & Professional Women Career Advanced Scholars
- The BPW Foundation established the Career Advancement Scholarship in 1969 to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged women seeking to further their education. Female students 25 years or older accepted into an accredited program or course of study at a US college or university with a plan to graduate within 24 months and demonstrate clear career plans. Award: $1000 - $2500.
