Welcome to the Clinical Laboratory Science Program
Welcome to the Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) Internship Training Program. We offer a 13-month full-time program that combines 16 weeks of lecture and laboratory instruction on the campus, followed by a 40-week off-campus internship at an affiliated clinical laboratory site. Completion of the internship program is required before a student can take the California Clinical Laboratory Personnel Licensing Examination offered every November.
SF State’s CLS program has been accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) for the maximum 7 years. The CLS program is located in the Science Building, room 202, and is administratively housed under the Physical Therapy Department.
